Cooper Bearings are well known to be the worlds leading manufacturer of split roller bearings. Cooper's bearing range can be divided into the following types:
01 series - (medium duty)
02 series - (heavy duty)
03 series - (extra heavy duty)
04 series - (high speed bearings)
Flat thrust series
Water cooled variants
01 Series
The 01 series are Cooper's primary line covering many application types. A proportion of the 01 series has now been upgraded to the 01E series (extended capacity) giving load performance improvements of between 30 to 40 percent. The 01E series uses the 01 series envelope dimensions and can be swapped into the same 01 series housings, thus providing cost effective upgrades. The 01E series can in certain applications replace the 02 series but advice should be sought from Cooper's technical department before making any changes to your current Copper bearing configuration.
The 01 series and 01E series will fit the Pillow block, M line, round flange, square flange, hanger unit, rod end T type, rod end shoe type, take up push type and take up tensioner housings.
02 Series
The 02 series provide a more robust solution than the 01 series where applications deliver higher loads. Although designed for greater load capacity the 02 series can still cover a wide range of speeds.
The 02 series will fit the Pillow block, M line, round flange, rod end T type, rod end shoe type, take up push type and take up tensioner housings.
03 Series
The 03 series are used in extreme situations where loads are extremely high.
The 03 series will fit the 4 bolt pillow blocks, 8 bolt pillow blocks and round flange units.
04 Series
The 04 series has been developed for high speed and lightly loaded applications. The roller and cage construction have been specially developed to provide high levels of performance. These units should be used in consultation with Copper's technical department due to their special nature.
Flat Thrust Bearings
The flat thrust bearing range is split into the solid ring FT series and the split ring ET series.
Water cooled bearings
The Water cooled housings were primarily designed for steel mills were temperatures are very high and normal bearing performance cannot be sustained using conventional designs. Cooper's technical department should be consulted before using this special type.
